The troops have been deployed to their stations! Quick! Someone get me some Lysol!
I have to admit something to you -- I know I'm not out there in the battle zone cleaning, but I must say it is just as stressful being on this end. All of the hard work and effort I've put in over the last few weeks is being realized as I send out my employees to do the jobs. It's a scary world out there! People are dirty!! :)
Things have gone really well but definitely not perfect. The job of a cleaning person isn't cut out for everyone. I found that out last night...because one of our cleaners quit...with no notice....in the middle of a job. I did as every good company owner would do - I went and finished it. I was not happy about it though! So far, that has been the pinnacle of my stress as a business owner. I've realized just how much trust you put in someone to do their job. I had an old boss (who was the owner of the business I was running for him) who just didn't trust anyone. It was reflected in the fact that he micromanaged and called me every single day. He knew I was good at my job, but he still couldn't let go of the trust. I think I understand it a little now.
I must say though - my cleaners are awesome! To Sarah, Sara, Melissa, Melanie and Brandon! You guys are the best!
